Description

This peptide named NEI (N for neuropeptide, E for Glu and I for Ile) is processed from pro-MCH. It has been reported that rat MCH may act as a central corticotropin inhibitory factor involved in the circadian rhythmicity of plasma ACTH levels in the rat while NEI antagonizes its action.
